what is fair

Just a short thought on my blog tonight.. I know, again.. weeks have passed and I havn't written.. but I do need to post this thought for anyone who decides to read. I love just outside of Minneapolis only a few miles from where that 17 year old kid who got caught helping spread the Mastar Blaster virus lives.. also, the same state where that 15 year old boy just shot 2 of his class mates killing one and the other is in critical condition last I heard... I am having a tough time figureing out the legal system, the kid who helped spread the master blaster virus today they are talking about trying to send him to jail for 10 years.. They havn't started prosocuting the boy who shot his classmates, but I have a hunch that the kid who spread the virus does more serious jail time then the one who shot his classmates. It just has that feel, the kid who passed the masterblaster virus is being scapegoated. I don't think we should lock this kid who shot his classmates away for the rest of his life, there are those who think he should be, I actually feel sorry for this poor kid....I feel sorry for the famies of those he destroyed as well, but I remember being 15 and feeling outcast....I remember the frustrations of getting teased every day going to school, heck, I ended up walking 2 miles to school every day because I couldn't ride the bus, it was too miserable of an expierence for me, too humiliating with the teasings I used to get. I never shot any one, but I remember the hurt and pain I felt. I think we all went through that.. I think these same feeligns effected the kid who helped spread the master blaster virus, I'm guessing he was looking for attention.. looking for some validation to his life, isn't that what we all look for at that age. Just a thought as these two kids face serious penalties. Yes, they must atone for their crimes.. but don't forget they are still kids, they are both first time offenders...

OK, I've soapboxed enough, lets get into the details

Food Eaten: Home made Pizza (crust and all) with Veggie peperoni and mushrooms, green peppers, and cheese

Music Listened to: David Bowie, David J.

Moral of the day: Even thought its gloomy outside, doesn't mean you can't have fun outside.

Macaroni mess and other adventures.

you would think that after appologizing for the length beteween my last entry and this one I wouldn't have to appologize, until you realize how much time actually has passed. funny thing is, during the days I think of so many things I have to write about, but then I get here and go blank.. I hope that will change as the weather gets worse and we move into winter, its finally raining tonight, almost 3 months since the last rain that had more then an inch. I have to thank everyone for helping make my birthday such a special one, getting to extend my birthday out as much as I did was a wonderful thing, Michelle surprised me by hiding my birthday presents in the house and then sending me to them first thing in the morning, getting to spend the evening sunday night with my parents and Jeremy and Meghan was also a treat, It was very relaxing and comfortable, I couldn't ask for more, and then the surprise comming home tonight after a longer day at work thinking how I want to be lazy tonight and not make a fancy dinner and having a phone call from Jack waiting to take Michelle and I out.. also another great evning, Jack, its so fun to see you so excited about your job. Big exciting news this week on Tuesday was making dinner, decided to make macaroni and cheese, and I mean really make it, you know casorole dish and all, well, put the cararole dish in the oven and was baking it and about 5 minutes in to the 10 minute baking time, BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!! I jumped about a foot, landing on the dogs foot who then yelped, Michelle was freaked, and gingerly I turn on the oven light and look into the oven to discover that the glass dish exploded, not cracked not broke, butr exploded, all that was left was this glop of little glass squares and macaroni and cheese on the bottom of the oven A mess and an hour later had dinner again, that is the advantage of macaroni and cheese, when you make it, you usually have enough ingrediants left to make it again, and we did. This is one of those events where I wish I had a digital camera, I would love to have posted a picture of my macaroni mess.

Anyway, I should be getting off to bed.

Food EAten: well, macaroni and cheese, Pizza, Grilled portebello mushroom fajitas, penne with marinara (yes, bean eating lazy lately)

Music listened to: Front 242, Dandy warhols, Not another teen movie soundtrack, red hot chili peppers, janes addiction, Lords of Acid

Moral of the day: when glass explodes in the oven, plan to use lots of rags.

sorry for the absence

Sorry it has bean so long since I have written anything in my blog, and it isn't for lack of things to write, I have seen so many things in the world that I thought, wow, I have to blog about that, but have bean so busy I havn't had the chance. One of them is last week I was in Toronto, and I was in the mens room at the hotel we were in, I have to get a digital camera so I can post pictures of these things.. anyway, in the mens room was a sign that I was really glad to see, it said " Drinking while pregnant can cause birth defects" it was a nice bronze plack. I also saw in the mens room in a gas station in Truman MN, a machine that was selling freadom ticklers no better way to show your patriotism.. I went and saw the Dandy WArhols the other night, I have to say, that was one of the best shows I have seen at the Ave. in a very long time.. 3 hours of music, tight vocals, tight band.. great show. I will end here but I want to put a bit or mourning for my former Manager Paul who lost his battle with depression last weekend.. He had a profound impact on my life and will always be a part of me in the way I deal with other people.. he will be missed.
