what is fair

Just a short thought on my blog tonight.. I know, again.. weeks have passed and I havn't written.. but I do need to post this thought for anyone who decides to read. I love just outside of Minneapolis only a few miles from where that 17 year old kid who got caught helping spread the Mastar Blaster virus lives.. also, the same state where that 15 year old boy just shot 2 of his class mates killing one and the other is in critical condition last I heard... I am having a tough time figureing out the legal system, the kid who helped spread the master blaster virus today they are talking about trying to send him to jail for 10 years.. They havn't started prosocuting the boy who shot his classmates, but I have a hunch that the kid who spread the virus does more serious jail time then the one who shot his classmates. It just has that feel, the kid who passed the masterblaster virus is being scapegoated. I don't think we should lock this kid who shot his classmates away for the rest of his life, there are those who think he should be, I actually feel sorry for this poor kid....I feel sorry for the famies of those he destroyed as well, but I remember being 15 and feeling outcast....I remember the frustrations of getting teased every day going to school, heck, I ended up walking 2 miles to school every day because I couldn't ride the bus, it was too miserable of an expierence for me, too humiliating with the teasings I used to get. I never shot any one, but I remember the hurt and pain I felt. I think we all went through that.. I think these same feeligns effected the kid who helped spread the master blaster virus, I'm guessing he was looking for attention.. looking for some validation to his life, isn't that what we all look for at that age. Just a thought as these two kids face serious penalties. Yes, they must atone for their crimes.. but don't forget they are still kids, they are both first time offenders...

OK, I've soapboxed enough, lets get into the details

Ah, GOOD social commentary, B! ;)
unfortunately, the American legal system is absolutely SAD at times. :(
Ok, how 'bout this twist of your "Moral of the Day? : "Even though it's gloomy outside, doesn't mean U can't have fun inside." :)
Ok, so that probably was NOT as GOOD as your original comment...hehehe!!! :p
