you would think that after appologizing for the length beteween my last entry and this one I wouldn't have to appologize, until you realize how much time actually has passed. funny thing is, during the days I think of so many things I have to write about, but then I get here and go blank.. I hope that will change as the weather gets worse and we move into winter, its finally raining tonight, almost 3 months since the last rain that had more then an inch. I have to thank everyone for helping make my birthday such a special one, getting to extend my birthday out as much as I did was a wonderful thing, Michelle surprised me by hiding my birthday presents in the house and then sending me to them first thing in the morning, getting to spend the evening sunday night with my parents and Jeremy and Meghan was also a treat, It was very relaxing and comfortable, I couldn't ask for more, and then the surprise comming home tonight after a longer day at work thinking how I want to be lazy tonight and not make a fancy dinner and having a phone call from Jack waiting to take Michelle and I out.. also another great evning, Jack, its so fun to see you so excited about your job. Big exciting news this week on Tuesday was making dinner, decided to make macaroni and cheese, and I mean really make it, you know casorole dish and all, well, put the cararole dish in the oven and was baking it and about 5 minutes in to the 10 minute baking time, BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!! I jumped about a foot, landing on the dogs foot who then yelped, Michelle was freaked, and gingerly I turn on the oven light and look into the oven to discover that the glass dish exploded, not cracked not broke, butr exploded, all that was left was this glop of little glass squares and macaroni and cheese on the bottom of the oven A mess and an hour later had dinner again, that is the advantage of macaroni and cheese, when you make it, you usually have enough ingrediants left to make it again, and we did. This is one of those events where I wish I had a digital camera, I would love to have posted a picture of my macaroni mess.
Anyway, I should be getting off to bed.
Food EAten: well, macaroni and cheese, Pizza, Grilled portebello mushroom fajitas, penne with marinara (yes, bean eating lazy lately)
Music listened to: Front 242, Dandy warhols, Not another teen movie soundtrack, red hot chili peppers, janes addiction, Lords of Acid
Moral of the day: when glass explodes in the oven, plan to use lots of rags.
Posted by bilzabub at September 11, 2003 11:59 PMman, you have got to get a digital camera for times like this! I would have loved to have seen that mess. I currently would probably recommend the Sony DSC-P72 (the newer version of mine) or the Canon A70, both of which should be able to be found for $300 or less.
