evaporating Time

I think time successfully evaporated this past week, I can't believe it has bean a full week since my last confession.. I mean entry. a lot happened and not much happened, I have completed my second day of vacation due to if I didn't I would lose it, and it has bean very good for me, I have gotten alot of projects done around the house, well, not that many, the Matrix game keeps interfering, but I have gotten alot done, little projects that ahve bean bothering me for a while. I trimmed a door that wouldn't close, I oiled some stuff and I changed the oil in my lawn mower and snow blower. I also managed to trim a bolt that was sticking out of my wall.. a long story. I was a bit dissapointed in the person who assisted me at my favorite hardware store, woodys hardware in Plymouth, that is the kind of Mom and Pop Hardware store that I feel is missing on the american landscape. where you can go in and discuss your project and get some ideas of how to approach it that you might not have thought of. Don't get me wrong, the person who assisted me did fine, just not willing to play the game of hmmm... what are you trying to do? See, I don't know the hardware language, I didn't know it was fogging oil, I thought it was smoke oil.. oops, guess I was thinking of the stuff that goes in foggers.. now you see where I got confused. (Jack, you may be the only one to understand that one) Anyway, another reason my time has bean fleating is my thought have bean with Jack who has had a rough week, I won't say anything, if he wishes to share, you can visit his site, but things are looking better tonight. My prayers are with you my friend. Anyway, now that I have said all that, I suppose I should get to stats, the real reason any of you read my site.. I knew it was important when going to a friends for dinner I heard the comment, We were wondering what you might want to eat, so we looked at your website. Guess there is value in my banter.

Food EAten: Grilled Portebello Mushroom sandwiches, Veggie Italian SAusages, Khans Mongolian Grill, a mix of vegetables cooked on the grill with Corn, Linguine with this strange red sauce with sourcream... (I think that aobut sums up the week)

Music LIstened to: Front242, Sisters of Mercy, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Fischerspooner, Underworld, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Creatures.

MOral of the Week: Don't be surprised when you blink a week is gone and the world had come full circle.

how I spent my summer vacation

well.. I had today off work.. I am burning up my remaining vacation days before they expire next friday.. so, I spent the day hanging around Minneapolis, I did come to a conclusion though, I do not think that irish girl has a job.. I think she just spends her days tooling around town in her new beetle.. Today I spotted her on Hennippin ave around 1 pm, she was chatting on her Cell phone to her squeeze, and we shouted a hi to him. Funny thing is, I was sitting with my back to the street, and saw the reflection of a beetle convertable in the window, I thought hmmm, then I saw colored flecks in the hair of the driver, and turned to see irish girl.. so, that is my story and I am sticking to it. Oh, one more thing, I wish to point out my extreme displeasure that racing video games make you race until you master the game to unlock all the tracks and all the cars, that way when you play your friends, you totally dominate the game.. I believe that all cars and all tracks should just be unlocked in the multi player game.

Food Eaten: Grilled Veggie Quesidillas

Music Listened to: Rammstein, Front 242, Marilyn Manson

Moral of the Day: There shall be now way to muzzle 40 pounds of hyper kinetic energy today.

Memorial Day

Ok, see, it is Wed and this weekend is Memorial day, Michelles friend Nikki is comming to visit us so I don't know how much I will be blogging, and I don't know how much matrix I will be playing, but I figured I should talk a little about memorial day, In case you didn't realize it Memorial day is the weekend you take your elderly and put them in the car and drive them to all the grave stones.. You put flowers at the graves, that way, the elderly feel like after they have gone, you will be taking care of them still and showing your love and admiration.. or so that is what we tell ourselves, I think there is a stronger part that is taking our elderly, stuffing them in the car to get them out of nursing homes and then sort of teasing and saying hey look grandma, you will be here in a year or two. OK, I was kidding about that, but again this year I will be participating in the ritual of driving around cemetaries and putting flowers on graves that I never even knew the people, they were dead long before I was alive. I wonder when we lost as a society the reverence of Cemetaries, it used to be that the cemetary was also the park, why do you think all the cool old cemetaries are in awsome places, over looking lakes, and incredibly beautiful places, its not because the people residing there really care, but it used to be that families would go and have picknics there, kids would fly kites, that was the place to go and spend an afternoon. Now it is a place to keep hidden because it might remind us that one day we will all be dead and in a cemetary. I think they should start putting swings back in cemetaries.

Food Eaten: Home Made Pizza (you will see a wed night trend)
Music Listened to: Chemical Brothers, Fischerspooner, Front 242, Nine Inch Nails
Moral of the Day: When delivering flowers to graves, keep your eyes open for the plot you want to reside in.

Enter The Matrix

Well, today it came, I was bad the other day and ordered the Enter the Matrix game for my PS2, it is probably the coolest game I have played in a very long time, I have only played a little bit of it, the fight action is incredible, the movement has a couple of weeknesses, but I am getting over it pretty quickly, There is one part where I drove a car, and that was kind of the weekest part of the game, I would like to be able to drive in bullet time, but you can't After playing for a while, I went and made some popcorn, I wanted to pop the pop corn in bullet time. I have really bean enjoying playing it tonight... I find it to be the most exciting game I have played in quite a while, I am sure that there are video game heads out there who will argue and say that this or that game is better, and they are probably right, but being a person who doesn't live video games, it was well worth the money I spent on it. I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes, That is one of the parts of the game that is very nice, there was another script written to go along with the game, so it is a movie on its own.. and adds to the Matrix movie.

Food Eaten: Pasta with Home made sauce

Music Listened to: Assemblage 23, Matrix2 sound track, Front 242

Moral of the Day: no Matter how hard you try, Popcorn will not pop in Bullet time

Hippie Goth

Yes, I discovered this weekend that my attire is now officially considered hippie goth. Anyway, it was a nice weekend, a little busy, but fun, Friday Night we went to this Jazz club called Brilliant Corners Jazz a relitvely new jazz club in St. Paul, I don't normally go to St. Paul, but I did find the evening quite pleasant, after several bad years expierence in college with a fairly strong jazz program that pretty much beat out of my any enjoyment of jazz any more, I still found it tough to enjoy, but I managed to enjoy the evening. Looking at the upcomming calander, I found it interesting to see several of my college classmates comming to the club to play. I have no intention of going, if they are there playing when I go, thats alright, I'm sure they won't remember me. Saturday night had the crew over and made Veggie Fajitas.. MMMMM I havn't made them on the grill all year, a very nice treat way to start the summer. I think they went over well. We then went and saw the movie Down with Love, I found it entertaining, again, I find almost any movie entertaining, it was very charming, and well art directed, and very campy. Today, I finally managed to mow the lawn if I had a digital camera, I would have taken pictures of a before and after shot, my grass was very long, Took the dog for a walk at Goose Island, and then flew my kite for a little bit, the wind was kind of spotty, the kite would fly great, and then the wind would just stop, So only flew it for a short while That was my weekend. oh, wait, Saturday morning I went to the restraunt formerly known as Thai Express, it is now called Fat Nats Eggs.. it was nice, a little sad as they sat us in our usual table, and it was sad to not have the pleasant waitress come smilling knowing us by name and order. The Service was deffinetly less then steller, but the food was good, there isn't much you can do to screw up eggs.

Food Eaten: Saturday Night, Grilled Portebello Fajitas, Sunday Night, Veggie Terriaky chicken strip Stir Fry (I didn't know what else to call it)

Music Listened to: Front 242, Ministry, Rob Zombie, Matrix2 Sound Track, Felix Da Housecat, Assemblage 23.

MOral of the Weekend: Keep an open mind, even if you aren't keen on the music at the jazz club, there is still plenty more to enjoy.

Matrix

Ok, now that jack and jeremys have weighed in on seeing the Matrix last night, I feel I should put my spin on it as well. I too thought that the story lacked, that the scene with the dancing went on way to long, and I felt that the love story beteween neo and Trinity was very heavy handed in this movie. the first matrix, they had such a light touch on it that it made it completely charming and believable, this time it was just so heavy handed. Jack and Jeremy both thought that this movie was hust because it was the middle movie of a trilogy. I would agree that the story felt more like it was setting up too much for the third movie then I would have liked, but second movies can be great, Empire Strikes back for Example. I don't want to give the movie away, but I think there was a point earlier in the movie had they focused on ending the movie there, it would have stood out stronger individually. I think that some characters should have bean devoloped more or left out, I really was intrigued by three characters, Persophone, Naobi, and the french guy, all of which ended up being almost cameos rather then interesting characters, I hope we see these three in the next movie, especially since both Naobi and Persophone are important enough to get posters. Now, with the bad stuff said, I thought that the movie offered alot to think about, and I can't wait to see the movie again, I think that seeing it with the nerdy crowd of comic book geeks that we did was just about the best crowd to see it with, I just wish I had seen X-Men with the same group. The visual effects were stunning, and the 20 minute Highway chase more then makes up for any shortcommings of the story.

Violent Video Games

That today at CNN.com, I noticed this story basically it tells how a representative feels that violent video games have gone too far and shouldn't be sold to children. being brought up Quacker, and being generally non violent in my beliefs, and being a person who has played violent video games, I am a little on the fence about this, but I do think there is value to watching what we sell to our children, the reasong this caught my eye and I feel is worthy of blogging, is does anybody else find it hypocrytical that congress is expressing their concern for violence in video games while at the same time letting the ban on semi-automatic weapons expire. To me, they are basically saying "we can't let you play this violent game, but here is an asult riffle, have fun."

Inner workings

Now you will get to see a bit of the inner workings of my family.. My MOm the sacrificer, and my Dad, the only child. See, today was mothers day, I say that becasue I know a year from now I won't know that 5/12 was mothers day, and I will be even more confused when I look at a calander and realize I am writing after midnight so it will show up as 5/12 when mothers day was really 5/11, anyway.. so today being mothers day, I made Cheese Fondu, not because Mother wanted that, but because father has had a craving for a while. anyway, I made it with a ton of garlic, which was really good. and I made home made french bread to have in it. it was quite diliscous. anyway, we finished painting the guest room today, i have to get a digital camera so I can post pictures, speaking of which, I still have to post pictures of the peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. Anyway, with those thoughts, I will now be turning in to a pumpking, which I did see floating at Goose Island in the lake.. a pumpkin, it was kind of scarry, especially since it looked really new and fresh, and I know it has bean soaking in the lake for 7 months.

Food Eaten: since I didn't post that last time there will be a few days. Than Do chinese food, Left Over Quiche, and Cheese Fondu.

Music Listened to: NEW FRONT 242 WHOOO HOOOOO... DAniel Ash, Fischerspooner, DAft PUnk, 21st Century Techno pop

Moral of the weekend: when your friends try to make you eat something you know you will not like, eat it anyways, even if it is as bile tasting as you thought, you will have some wonderful pictures, and then you can make your friends try something equelly bad, remember food vengence is best served by a creative chef.

chuckin pickles

last night I went to jeremys house and was pear pressured into eating a peanut butter and pickle sandwich. I must say, it wasn't the most disgusting thing I have ever put into my mouth, but it was preatty close. leading to the most disgusting things ever put into my mouth. Number one being dried squid, which left a salty fishy taste in my mouth for a full 2 hours. Number 2 being Peanut butter and PIckle sandwich.. pictures wil be following shortly. Number 3 being gasoline, I opened the lid on my gas can and the pressure in the can had built up and I got a face full of gasoline. yes, peanut butter and pickle tastes worse then gasoline. both irish-girl and Jack seem to think that they are quite delicous. I would disagree, they aslo made me try a peanut butter and marshmello sandwich, that wasn't so bad, it tasted like easter candy.. not something to make every day, well most any day, unless you want a cheap desert.

finally the answer

or the final answere, and why it has taken me 3 days to post a responce..

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral
again. If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath.
This was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if
one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers
took part in this test and answered it correctly. If you didn't
answer correctly - good for you. If your friends hit the jackpot,
may I suggest that you keep your distance.

now on to other things.. I got an e-mail with this link for a patent

there is hope for me.. check out the other links on the page as well, I think this will be good entertainment for those looking to kill some time.. as for my whereabouts, I had an early show on Wed, so I didn't want to stay up writing on Tusday, Wed night I was tired, so I didn't write and now it is thursday, I got my car out of storage... and its raining.. go figure.. anyway.. that is my latest.. as for the typicals.

psychological Test

I got this test e-mailed to my from my brother a while ago, I was cleaning out my mail and came uppon it, figured with the conversation a couple of blogs ago about psyche tests, I thought this was a good time to post it, besides, I don't have much to write tonight..I will give a shout out to Jeremy, he's having some tests tomorrow.. lets wish him the best.. anyway, here is the test

This is a genuine psychological test.
It is a story about a girl. While at the funeral of her own mother,
she met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was
amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be, that she fell
in love with him there but never asked for his number and could not
find him. A few days later the girl killed her own sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

I will post the answer tomorrow.. I figure that will give you time to think about it.. and maybe post some answeres.. anyway.. on to the dailys

Food Eaten: Angel Hair pasta with home made sauce (I have quit buying the jar stuff.

Music Listened to: Jesus and Mary Chain, CHarlitans UK, Praga Khan.

Moral of the Day: When the wind starts blowing and the sky turns gray, look out for tornados. (ok, I know, a bit late for that one, and maybe a bit inappropriate, but I was desperate for one tonight ok.)

no power

yup you heard it here, power went off here at my house.. I lose power here more often, and at strange times.. never when there is a huge storm, no it will be on a quiet evening.. maybe a slight rain.. maybe some wind, but nothing serious.. I know nobody was running AC today, it wasn't that warm, no electrical storms.. I was sitting on the couch miding my business reading Ultimate X-Men when I hear a bang and no power.. guess a transformer blew, that was around 8:30, went to be around 9:30 and read for an hour.. blew out the lamp and about 20 seconds later the power came on.. now I'm here writing in my blog.. what a nerd.. anyway.. I should be getting back to bed.. I had pretty much started off a while ago, so I am a little out of it now...

go fly a kite

really, go fly a kite.. I did.. today, it was a present several years ago.. I never flew it because I was always scared.. it takes 2 strings to fly it, and I always thought it would be so dificult. but it was super easy.. and a ton of fun.. alot more control of flying it.. We unpacked the kite at our favorite walking place, Goose Island.. named such by the small island in the middle of the lake covered with geese. We put it together and stretched out the lines.. that is one difference with this kind of flying.. unless you are really good, you really have to measure out your strings first so they are the same lenght.. I bet you didn't know that, i didn't until I read the instructions. Anyway.. wiht a gentle bump up, the kite took to the sky in its purple and red splendor.. and soon I was swooshing all over. The kid playing baseball with his father was oohing and ahing and screaming "did you see that" I felt so incredibly cool.. and he dind't know how easy it was.. I have to admit, I did crash a couple of times.. so did Michelle.. but it really was fun.. I can't wait to fly it another day, I have officially named my kite George. Anyway.. I best be getting to bed, but I did want to share my kite flying expierence..

Food EAten: stir fried noodles with Asparagus.
Music Listened to: Daft Punk, Cream, Nitzer Ebb
Moral of the day: sometimes things are much easier then they appear, other times.. you are screwed.

Circut City

ok.. so I have a question.. what is the plural of Circut city, you know the store.. lets say I plan to drive to 26 circut Citys.. is it Citys, since it is a proper name, or is it cities.. I'm so confused.. I just don't know.. and then there are those who wonder why I am such a bad speller, and then the man throws delimas like this at me.. what am I to do.. no wonder I have problems.. Ok.. so we finally saw Casablanca.. the white house.. I was dissapointed, it had nothing to do with Washington DC and the white house.. I was confused that they called it casablanca, and spoke french, I thought casa blanca was spanish... I'm so confused.. I actually thought it was one of those movies that if the right person took the story could re-do the story and update it.. it was a great story, I just thought there were parts that had become dated.. obviously powerful in its time, but a little difficult to swallow in todays media crazed society. I mean, come on.. did any body believe Bogart was crying when he put his head in his arm.. maybe 40 years ago, but now... was a bit tough.. and yes I know, there are those who will claim I have no clue.. I do.. I thought it was a very touching story, one that has poingnance, just one that I think could be so much more powerful with a face lift, and I don't mean doing Casa Blanca 2, Richards revenge.. or anything.. I don't even think you call it casablanca.. just take the situation and make a new version of it.. much like any of the thousand re-makes of shakespears plays lately. anyway, I'm tired tonight.. so I am going to go.. I fully expect to get hate mail from the words I said about Casablanca.. and while you are flaming me.. please ponder the plural of Circut City..

Food Eaten: Sloppy Joes.. just the right mixture of sloppy and joe.
Music Listened to: Daniel Ash, Sisters of Mercy
Moral of the day: when using coupons looke to be sure they got credited.

Happy May Day

Well, this will show up as may second since it is after Midnight, but I still haven't gone to bed yet so it feels like may 1 still.. I have to ask because this came up today.. May Day.. it seems like I participated in a little known may day ritual called the may basket. I mentioned this to some of my co-workers and they looked at me like i was from Mars.. so if you don't know what I am talking about.. I will share, for those who do, you are in a lucky minority. What we did as kids is we would make little baskets out of construction paper, fill them with candy, and then place them on the door steps of our friends houses.. we would then ring the door bell and run and hide. Our friend would come to the door, see the basket, and then come looking for us.. if they found us, they had to give us a kiss. or me as the case may be.. I hadn't thought of this for years, but for some reason it came back to me today, which was an incredibly pleasant memory. Anyway, I also saw X-Men 2 today.. I loved it.. I thought it was better then the first one.. I won't say more since it opens tomorrow...

Food EAten: Left over Pasta from the other night
Music Listened to: Daniel Ash, Ladytron
Moral of the day: Happy memories will come when you don't expect it.. and they will be extra pleasant..
