bloggin in bed

sitting here in a hotel room in Kalamazoo MI, got my lalptop burning my lap, these thngs get hot.. why are the heater fans in hotel rooms so loud.. .what I can't hear you.. I wish I had a digital camera, I would share a picture of my toilette with you all, when I went pee, being a guy, I lifted the lid to reveal 3 drops of mysterious brown liquad.. as I stood there and peed, I thought yum, what a lovely sight.. then as I thought for a moment I realized that the drops are probably rusty water in the hinge for the toilette seat so you don't have to fear for me too much. Kalamazoo MI, how much fun can one person have in bed, speaking of beds, is it considered in your bed or someone elses bed when you are in a hotel room? so I might be sleeping in someone elses bed.. anyway... I think that about sums it up, it was a very easy trip to Kalamazoo..... news at 11, Jack, I hope Akira is treating you alright..

long time comming

It feels like forever since I last entered in my blog.. and I am heading off to Kalamazoo tomorrow.. I love saying kalamazoo.. I think it has to be one of the most fun city names to speak in this country. I heard it put, and I think the US strategy can be summed up this way.. Surgical strikes with smart weapons, then carpet bomb to pick up what we missed.. I hope this isn't the truth, but it is starting to look like it might go that way.. I have had a decent weekend.. it went by really fast.. and now I am going to Kalamazoo.. not much more to share here tonight then that..

Music listend to lately: My Life with the thrill kill kult, Love and rockets, fischerspooner (this album is really growin on me)

Food eaten: nav Ratten Korma, Heavenly vegetarian, BBQ mock duck sandwich.

CNN coverage

Is it just me or does the coverage on CNN seem really missing right now.. I keep going there to find out the latest news and it seems like they aren't updating, that my isp has newer news headlines then CNN.. I think they are puposefully not telling us things, I am really questioning the news that CNN is running. I think they are in the pocket of the government and i don't know why they are hiding the truth.. anyway.. that is my question. Not that news is all that great anymore anyway, but it just seems like CNN is really cowering to the government. Don't want to say anything negative, might not look good, might be un patriotic. I heard today the president has asked for 75 billion dollars to fund this war, that is supposed to take us until September, in case you missed the small print, and if you missed the even smaller print.. 30 billion of the 75 was spent just getting the troups to Iraq. so I assume it will take another 30 Billion to get them home.. so that is 60 Billion, which leaves 15 Billion for the war.. the numbers don't work..Also, is it just me or does anybody else think this sandstorm seems like an act of got?....Anyway.. enough of this.. I'm going to bed..

Music Listened to today: fischerspooner 1

Food EAten: Veggie Chicken pattie and Salad

TV is Propoganda

A quote I heard on NPR today was someone saying that Televisoin is propogande, I thought that that really put alot into perspective, it was a comment on a story about people in Saudi Arabia and where they are getting their news from.. I loved the quote.. again, no writting for a couple of days, reason, Last night was my Oscar Party.. it was a very good Party, All the cool People were there, I have to get my film processed and I will put some pictures up for all to see. But once again I prove that no matter how many movies I see, I suck at picking the winners, don't take me to the horse races. I thought that the ceremonies were really mucy more subdued last night.. I missed the big musical productions.. the over the top quality.. you know they had most of that planned until the war broke out, I suppose they have packed the props and are thinking of next year. I know that they pushed to make them shorter, but I think that they felt too rushed this year. I did so enjoy haing out with everyone though. We had the party at my parents house and their house is so good for parties, it was really quite comfortable, I can't wait to tell them that, and we didn't even trash the place. I also went and saw Tick Tick Boom yesterday, a wonderful play.. I can't reccomend it stronger. Yes, there are more polished plays out there, but I doubt you will find many that are more heartfelt. I found the story really touched home for me, it was all the stuff that I find I struggle with in my daily life, the decesion of chasing your dreams or settling down kind of things with that realization of aging.. I'm not good at this aging thing.. Anyway.. I am still a bit tired from last night so I'm going to turn in..

Music Listened to: Rammstein, Ministry, Sinead O'Conner, Fischerspooner, Ladytron.

food EAten: lots at the party, I made chili, Michelle made Salad and strewberry cake thing, everyone brought chips.. Tonight left over chili Dogs...and salad

MOral to the day: There are times when stresses get to you.. but if you stop and think there is always a way to solve the problem....

to many wars

well.. as I write this, war has just begun with Iraq.. as it starts I realize that there have bean far too many wars in my lifetime, I was born during the vietnam war.. it hasn't gotten any better, what happened to the hippie dreams of peace.. teh hippies are the ones who put bush in power.. did they forget what they were taught. a tear is in my eye tonight.. everyone says that we are living in an incredible time.. if these times are so highlited by war, there is nothing incredible about it.

eve of destruction

I fear that tonight as I prepare for bed that we are on the eve of destruction. I will take a moment and get on my soapbox..First off, I wish to say to anyone out there listening.. that Bush was not elected by the popular vote.. therefore he does not necessarally represent the views of the citizans of this country. Please do not hold us accountable for the actions of a madman. I fear that tomorrow night our government will beging the siege on Iraq.. how does this make me feel, it saddens me.. I wish there was something that could be done to prevent this, but I fear that the ripples were set forth when the supreme court decided the outcome of this election.. I think that our president for one reason or another has had this war planned for years.. If there really was a reason for going to war, we would have heard that reason, and it wouldn't have changed every single week.. first it was remove the weapons of mass destruction, then it was regime change, then it was ties to terrorism.. I truely belive that if Iraq had followed all the rules and dissarmed that the US government would have changed their song again just so they can go in. I think the US has some new weapon that they are just itching to use in wartime.. to prove to the world we are mightier then they are.. it saddens me.. as the most powerful nation in the world we should be leading by example, not being a playground bully picking on kids. over half the iraquis are 15 years and younger.. Bush is being a bully...

ok.. I think I have said enough.. I could go on for a while.. but I will stop there..

Baaaston

as many of you know I spent the last few days in Boston.. I had business out there on Monday, my brother lives out there so I saved the company money and went out friday night. I had a very nice time, got to go to my favorite record store Neburry comics.. I would have included the link to the web page, but it isn't that good and I think you would all be suspect of my taste in music stores, I did get the fischerspooner CD, I am enjoying that as well as a Rob Zombie CD, I have never owned one, I figured it was about time. my days with my brother were good, but he doesn't sleep, I have come to that conclusion, I think my brother was bitten by a vampire at birth as he is awake all night, goes to bed at sunrise and wakes up in the afternoon, go figure, and I'm the Dark Moody Goth in the family. Heck My parents even questioned if I died my hair black.. I don't.. it just got darker the last few years.. I don't know why.. beats going grey.. but it is sprouting out my ears.. see earlier posting.. I got pretty upset tonight watching Pen and Tellers Bullshit that TiVo taped while I was in Boston.. they were going on about creationism vs. Evolution.. and anybody that has extreme religous views.. really gets to me.. well, not really having the views.. I respect anybodys beliefs.. when I get really angry is when they choose to use religion as the excuse for their ignorance and intollerence. Don't blame that their little child is now a professional stripper because evolution was taught in school.. how bout looking that you didn't trust, love and respect your kid and had a priest come and perform an exorcism on them... (I know somebody that that happend to..that is why that was my example) Anyway.. I am getting off on a tangent..I will stop here.. and close my blog

Music Listened to: Rob Zombie, fischerspooner, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult.

Food eaten: (over the weekend) Friday, nothing.. I was traveling, I had a bag of pretzels, Saturday, went to a mongolian grill in HArvard square.. it was ok.. the sauces were pre-made and really sweet, nothing even remotely hot.. Sunday, Went for Sushi at a restraunt owned by one of my brothers friends.. extremely yummy.. I had a marinated portebello mushroom sushi that was really incredible, made my mouth all tingly.. it was yummy.. Monday.. I traveled.. I had a slice of Sbarfo pizza at the airport (only vegeterian fare in Boston Logan) Tuesday Tacos..

MOral of the past few days: When in Boston, do as the Bostonians, drive like a lunitic and act like you mean it.

I'd Like to thank the academy

I'd like to thank the academy for this award.. well.. I would like to thank them, but they didn't give one to me... yet.. but I am having my annual party.. I can't believe that it is almost next week and I just sent out the invitation.. and I am getting bounced e-mails. that is why I a mentioning it here.. We will do the usual party thing.. bring something to pass.. starts around 6:30 or 7, the actual ceremony starts at 7:30.. we usually pass a hat and have ballots.. I think it will be a nice night.. we had discussed making it bigger this year than in the past.. having red carpet and all, but maybe next year, start planning on your formal attire for next year.. we nead more space if we are going to do that.. and I guess that means I won't be able to make chili next year if we do that.. tomorrow I head for Boston.. that should be a good trip.. I get to see my brother for the weekend, and then I have work there on Monday.. so probably not much blogging the next frew days.. I have bean pretty busy at work.. so not mucht o write just now.I did get my haircut today.. they cut my eyebrows.. that was a strange expierence.. I wasn't ready for that.. and she took care of my nasty ear hair..good thing too.. I was going for dredloks....if I don't get to write it before, have a wonderful St. Patricks day

P & T BS

I reccomend watching Penn and Teller Bullshit if you can.. I have bean watching it lately through the magic of my TiVo.. they basically expose crap in our society.. tonight we watched an episode where they take on the Psychics like the guy on the Sci-Fi channel.. pretty good.. Last week they took on Bottled water.. It is a refreshing look at big fads that are based on crap. for my diary entry, today was not much of a day worth writing about.. I was fairly busy at work, came home walked the dog in the freshly fallen snow... little puppy foot prints tugging me along. a car, sit.. treat.. and home to veggie burger surprise.

Music Listened to today: big surprise Ministry, Ministry Tribute. (by the way, if you havn't heard her, check out Meg Lee Chin)

YAY!!!

Finally after a long quest I finally got the New Ministry CD. You have no idea what it took to finally get it.. it all started a week ago.. I borrowed it from one of my co-workers.. now, many of you will ask, why didn't I make a copy of it.. well, I don't do that.. if I like an album, I will purchase it.. that way, the record companies who are taking all the money from the CD anyway, will make more like it.... anyway, enjoyed listening to it so I wanted to get it for myself.. so over the weekend.. I went to a couple of stores and dind't find it, I was only half expecting to find it, Best Buy was one place I thought might just have it.. nope.. so last week I had some meetings downtown and had an hour to pass beteween meetings, I figured I was right by the downtown Target, might as well stop in.. I didn't expect to find it there, but I was right there figured I'd stop.. so then I said to myself.. Let It Be.. they will have it.. nope.. I was stunned that they didn't have it.. But, I have never had any luck at Let It Be records, so I went to Musicland.. they did have it.. for $22. When did CD's start to cost $22 thats outrageous.. I refused to pay it.. so.. I stopped by the Best Buy Mega store there by there new headquarters on 494.. I figured that that store has to have everything.. the execs stop by and they bring all the important relations there to visit.. it is the show off store for Best Buy.. so... I walk in, they had every MInistry CD ever put out, except the new one.. I finally got frustrated and ordered it online.. It Came tonight.. I can't wait to put it in the CD player and relax to the gentle sounds of Ministry.

Music Listened to today: 21sr Century Tech Pop

Food Eaten: Left Over Spicey Chickpea Couscous

Moral of the day: When michelle Gets the mail, be sure to check beteween the doors for your new Ministry CD

tis the season

Fa la la la la.. tis the season.. funny, seems like everyone is in a crappy mood right now.. is it the season, the economy, The threat of war.. or what.. I know that I just havn't bean able to get entheused about life.. I don't know.. we just watched the movie Far and Away... it was kind of sad, kind of syrupy.. but got me a little intropsecive. Last night we watched Scotland PA. that was an interesting movie.. i was just so tired, I dozed off towards the end.. it was a bit slow. today we finally got some snow.. had to snow blow the driveway.. ended up being more work then I thought.. I thought, hey, just go out start the snowblower and do the driveway, the snow it light and powdery, should be no problem.. well, first the Impellor has a broken bolt that holds it to the drive shaft.. get that fixed, next the second impellor that throws the snow up through the chute thing is frozen, have to get the broom handel out and get that un jammed.. now do the driveway.. then run out of gas.. don't cha just love homeownership.. you know why they call it ownership.. becasue it is like a ship.. you find yourself sailing it and no matter what happens you have to keep doing the repairs or you will go down like the Titanic.

anyway,

Rachid Taha

I just recieved my package from Amazon with my Rachid Taha CD in it.. it is very cool.... I can't wait to spend more time with it.. I didn't write last night so I will write today. I was very tired last night, I slept sounder then I have in a long time.. the best way to describe my sleep is you know when you have bean crying alot and you finally relax and fall asleep and you sleep super soundly.. that was how I slept last night. I know I had exteremely vivid dreams, but unfortunetly I can't remember them.. have you every tried Lucid dreaming? a good exercise, I used to be good at it, but I got out of practice, what you do is before you go to bed, you think of something you want in your dream.. flying is a good one. Then while you are sleeping, generally in the morning, you become aware at some level that you are deraming and you can take control of the dream and fly.. it usually only lasts a moment, but it is a great moment..its every bit as real as the dream seem, but you have control of your entire world.

newspaper article

You'll have to take my word for it, I left the clipping at the restraunt.. My parents took us out for dinner tonight to King and I.. my favorite restraunt.. I got the Gang Puck. The restraunt changed the menu.. I miss the old one.. it was just so much more cluttered, but it seemed like they offered so much more then what they do now. Well, my mom brings out this newspaper clipping from the Cayman Newspaper.. it was an ad.... saying "show your respect on Mothers day and FAthers day buy a Funeral Plot" I really really wanted to scan it, but it got dropped and left at the restraunt.. I wish I had it, it was really funny..... other funny news.. George W Bush got elected president... thats pretty funny.... there was actaully a funny story, but I am so distracted and angry at myself for droopping that clipping that I can't remember it.. anyway...I"m going to go to bed..

Music listened to..Crystal Method, Remmstein, Cure.

food Eaten: last night was left over soup and sandwich, tonight Gang Puck now called Red coconut milk curry..

Moral of the day: when having dinner at a Thai restraunt don't laugh. you might get a spicey rice Kernal stuck up your nose and that the Hot isn't that hot.. I have to remember to go to Thai hot next time..

Lost In LaMancha

Went to see Lost in LaMancha tonight.. what a depressing movie.. just watching this train reck over several hours.. it was quite sad to see someones dreams end up being destroyed by acts of god.. a very good movie, I hope that Terry Gilliam does manage to get this movie filmed, it looks like it could be so charming.. before that we had dinner.. Jeremy needed and extra fork, asked the waiter for one, and then another waiter came to our table with a coke.. with no one claiming it, the waiter went back to the counter to find out who ordered the coke, and you could see our waiter get frustrated about the whole mix up.. it was pretty funny.. I didn't mention yesterday that I saw on that VH1C channel the video for Live in a Northern Town by Dream Academy, one of those songs that can just bring me to tears.. anyway, just thought I would mention that, and last, I had a pretty strange nightmare last night, well, it was more this morning... my dream started I was in a field with someone, I don't know who, and we were throwing stones at this really old decrepid farm house hoping to knock it down.. I walked closer to the house and there were all these cars, like a junk yard.. and I walked under this tree and this hand fell from the tree hitting my shoulder.. it was grey and rotten.. then I realized I had this ring that was once on the hand that fell from the tree, it was shaped like a figure 8 and went on 2 fingers.. the ring had this magic power, if I got mad at anybody it would make the person start to grow roots and turn into this sort of human fleshy tree.. they were alot like the tortured souls in the Hellraiser movies, but their flesh was still flesh colored.. and they were trees.. anyway, I managed to no turn anyone into living trees, and I was trying to find a way to destroy the ring or get it into a safe where no one could get it to use it..

anyway, that was my dream..

Music Listened to:I had a super busy day at work today 11 hours.. so I didn' t get to listen to much music, but I did listen to the New MInistry album.

food eaten: for dinner we went to the indian restraunt in Uptown, not the one right next to calhoun square, but the small family owned one towards Lyndale..
I had Vegetable Korma

Moral of the day: Just when you think you'll have a nice short day, 6pm rolls around and you still havn't had lunch or breakfast.
