ah, bugger. dang dang dang dang dang!!! that sucks. I loved that restaurant and the people. great food, great service, great prices. sadly missed already.

Considering how many restaurants in the cities suck and stay open, it really blows that this one is gone.
This place embodied everything I like about restuarants. This was a family run operation and like many of these, I am sure they worked long hard hours. That was never evident with Linda though and as you guys have both noted, the service was homey and friendly and personal. I am not much for fancy ambience either. Thai Express was the typical local strip mall looking joint, but it was what was inside that made it so special. The food was good to great, and being the one person in our regular gang that doesn't like my food spicy enough to melt trough the plate to cause a China syndrome, I appreciated that after going there a few times, I never had to remind Linda of that fact. She always remebered.
Dammit! NOW where are we going to go for our everyday Thai fix????
