Ow Stop it is a phrase my brother would use, it certainly applies to my weekend.. yesterday I found a dangerous flaw with the Ikea stove protector.. while it looks better then any other child safety guard for stoves, there is one flaw, the way the front piece attaches to the sides is upside down. Yesterday while I was cleaning the stove, I removed the protector and when I was putting it back, I slid all the pieces together and was starting to set it back in place when the front piece, a piece of metal approx 2' wide by 8" tall fell off landing on my foot, fortunetly it did not take a toe off, but it did draw blood and was quite paineful, I have to write Ikea and let them know it really is a danger, almost as dangerous as small hands on hot stoves.. now fast forward to today, a fresh bandage on my foot and a slight limp, not from a painful toe, but just one that doesn't bend properly because of a bandage. I was again in the kitchen making dinner and I was pealing potatos and managed something I did not realize you could do with a potato pealer, I knew that you could nicely slice skin from your fingers, but until tonight, I didn't realize how good a pealer is at taking a fingernail off, I highly reccomend that you skip this discovery, let my discovery be the example, granted, I didn't take the entire nail off, it nicely took a slice of abuot a quarter of my nail, devide it in half both ways and then you will get the image.
