ok.. so it started a couple of days ago while I was watching VH1C, a purely evil station that proves Satan was alive and kicking in the 80's, and then tonight VH1C played Jesus and mary chain again with Happy When it rains.. and Erasure..anyway, I looked at my blog and saw that irishgirl) had loged in about jesus and mary chiang being in her 5 top albums if she were stranded on a desert island.. I then quizzed as to the others, you can look at comments from a couple of days ago.. anyway, I thought maybe it shoudl be a dialog on here. so here it is, and to make my life tough I have to choose from the multitudse of artists and albums at my fingertips.. and in no order
1) Love and Rockets Earth Sun Moon ( I can't go with out at least one Love and rockets album.. this one has the best melodies.
2) Sisters of Mercy Vision Thing (This album rocks ok)
3) Nine Inch Nails Downward spiral (I think some of the most interesting music of the last 10 years is on this album
4) Lords of Acid Farstucker (ok, I'm going to be stranded on a desert Island, I assume I'll be alone ok..)
5) Dandy Warhols 13 Tales from New Bohemia (I think I would like this one)
There are so many artists and I know I would get tired of listening to any of these albums.. I might go back in and change this as it is late and I am trying to think of those albums I just keep putting on and on and on.. maybe tomorrow when I grab CD's to take to work I will say , damn how could I have forgotten this album.. I am trying to figure out a place to fit David Bowie into this as well as The Chemical Brothers and Underworld.
ok, music listened to today: gods own methane (I listened to it in the car into work today, otherewise I was so busy I didn't even turn on music at work today) and in case you were wondering this was my band in college.. check out my site Aren't I Cool) and check on the sounds link, or video link, there is a gods own methane video there too staring me.. eating tons and tons of popcorn, I can eat an endless supply..
Food Eaten: You will see a wed. night trend, I make pizza, home made, crust and all, tonights toppings were Veggie peperone, mushrooms, garlic, green pepper, onion, tomato, cheese..
MOral of the day: no matter where you go, there you are..

this is the best site ever.
Posted by: irish-girl on February 27, 2003 07:53 PMyes, I try to please so please.. no wait, I've seen that somewhere. I can't remember.. so your welcome for the shout outs.. of course I gave myself a shout out too.. hmmm.. is that concieted?
ps.. I also have to say, that the music I picked for my desert Island music, I do not believe that these are the finest albums recorded, but they are albums I could listen to over and over and over.. I would get tired of listening to Sgt. Pepper or the White album, and lets face it if you are stuck on a desert island and you listen to Dark Side of the Moon over and over and over for who knows how many years.. you'd go crazy, think how different Gilligans Island would have bean if the skipper had bean listening to Dark Side of the Moon.. But I do think Downward spiral is one of the best albums in a long time
